Our Services - Rivendell Care & Support

OUR CARERS HAVE BEEN HAND PICKED BECAUSE OF THEIR PASSION TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE

Rivendell’s team are able to care for a wide variety of needs and have experience in caring for both younger and senior adults. We deliver support for dementia, learning disabilities care, physical disabilities, injury and rehabilitation among many other conditions. We listen to our clients and craft a care plan around their needs – taking in to account their likes, dislikes, daily routine, religious and cultural beliefs so we can provide the care that our clients would like.

AN IDEA OF OUR CLIENT PROFILES:

  • Shirley broke her arm and needed support for 6 weeks with bathing, getting dressed, housework and preparing meals –  and to her delight we made sure she still managed to play Bridge twice a week!
  • Malcolm has a long term mental health condition and has support for an hour a day to help him deal with his day to day challenges of looking after himself – his family are relieved to know he has clean clothes and a clean and tidy home.  He enjoys interacting with Maria his care worker and looks forward to her visit.
  • Cyril has a serious kidney condition, is 85 years old and lives in warden assisted housing – he feels safe and secure with a daily visit from Rosa who cooks for him in-line with his strict dietary requirements, keeps his flat spic and span and joins him for a daily coffee and biscuits (sugar free) when they talk about their shared  love of classical music.

Care Types

Visiting Care

Visiting homecare offers the care you want, when you need it. It is an alternative to moving into a care home. From as little as one hour a week our carers can help with variety of tasks such as cooking, cleaning, medication and social visits. It is common to have care visits around meal times, for example a breakfast visit, lunch visit and dinner visit.

Overnight Care

One-to-one nightly care from one of our fully trained carers means someone is there to assist with toilet breaks, administering medication or moving position in bed. Around 1 in 3 adults over 65 who live at home will have at least one fall a year, and about half of these will have more frequent falls. This commonly happens at night when people are disorientated.

Live In and 24 Hour Care

Knowing that there is someone in the home to assist at all times gives the peace of mind that you or your loved one is not alone. A carer will stay in the property in the day and night and will help with personal hygiene, visits to medical appointments, cooking, cleaning and other household chores.

OUR CARERS HAVE BEEN HAND SELECTED BECAUSE OF THEIR PASSION TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE.
