At Rivendell Care & Support we provide a large range of different home care services that we tailor to the needs of the individual. We are the perfect alternative to care homes; contact us today to find out more about how Rivendell Care can help your loved ones from the comfort of their home.

Our Home Care Services

At Rivendell, we understand each person’s needs are different, therefore, we offer a range of different services to suit all.

Visiting homecare offers the care you want, when you need it and  is a great alternative to moving into a care home. From as little as one hour a week our carers can help with a variety of tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, medication and social visits. It is common to have care visits around meal times. For example, a breakfast visit, lunch visit and dinner visit.

One-to-one nightly care from one of our fully trained carers means someone is there to assist with toilet breaks, administering medication or moving position in bed.

Our overnight care is essential, as around 1 in 3 adults over 65 who live at home will unfortunately have at least one fall a year, and about half of these will have more frequent falls. This commonly happens at night when people are disorientated.

Knowing that there is someone in the home to assist with domiciliary care at all times gives peace of mind that you, or your loved one, is not alone. A carer will stay in the property day and night and will help with personal hygiene, visits to medical appointments, any cooking, cleaning and other household chores.

Who We Provide Home Care Services For:

Below are some examples of clients who have benefited from our home care services at Rivendell:

Shirley broke her arm and needed support for 6 weeks with bathing, getting dressed, housework and preparing meals – and to her delight we made sure she still managed to play Bridge twice a week!

Cyril has a serious kidney condition, is 85 years old and lives in warden assisted housing – he feels safe and secure with a daily visit from Rosa who cooks for him in-line with his strict dietary requirements, keeps his flat spic and span and joins him for a daily coffee and biscuits (sugar free) when they talk about their shared love of classical music.

Malcolm has a long term mental health condition and has support for an hour a day to help him deal with his day to day challenges of looking after himself – his family are relieved to know he has clean clothes and a clean and tidy home. He enjoys interacting with Maria his care worker and looks forward to her visit.
