How Much Does Live In Care Cost?

We offer a free consultation with prospective clients to discuss live in care costs.  That way we can get to know you and you can get to know us.  Once we have a thorough understanding of what is required we can explain the options available and from there provide a tailored full and transparent cost structure based on your preferences.  Our aim is to provide the very best level of care at the most effective live in care costs.

Our care packages are flexible and can range from daily care eg Monday to Friday or inclusive of weekends.

What Do Our Costs Include?

Depending on the care package, it is common for two carers to be supporting one service user (rotating every couple of weeks) to ensure the very highest level of care and familiar back-up “on call” assistance.  Our aim is to keep the team as small as possible in order to retain consistency whilst building strong companionship.

Additionally available is the extended team of carers available on a temporary basis covering sickness and holidays. Our clients never go without receiving the level of care they require, and any temporary care is included in the live in care costs.

We provide a holistic approach to care. It’s tailored entirely around the needs of the individual.

Our carers work alongside registered general nurses and doctors to deliver an on-going assessment of the care package. This allows for adjustments to be made when appropriate, and support to be delivered to the very highest standards.

All of our live in care costs are inclusive and transparent with no hidden extras.

The entire care process is managed by us, allowing you or your loved one to focus on the important things such as leading an independent life, whilst we look after PAYE, sick pay, insurance, providing care training, and much more.

Our Recruitment Process

We have a stringent recruitment process which is divided into 4 stages:

  • Interview stage – We have a 2 part interview where we will ask questions ensuring the carers knowledge of Health & Social Care surpasses general requirements. The next part of the interview is about the carer; finding about their life, personality and making sure they of good character
  • DBS/CRB check – All staff working with Rivendell Care & Support have to complete and enhanced Criminal Records Check which ensures our staff have not committed any crimes and are able to work with vulnerable adults
  • Training – We invest in all of our staff. Before working for us, carers will have to complete Rivendell Care & Support’s Induction Programme.  Our carers are trained in Person Centered Support, Safeguarding in Health & Social Care, Health & Safety, How To Communicate Effectively, Duty Of Care, Equality & Inclusion, Personal Development, The Role Of The Health & Social Care Worker, Moving & Handling, First Aid, and in specialist care for more complex needs.
  • Shadowing – The majority of our staff have many years of experience, though for our newer staff we ensure that they have practical “on the job” experience watching expert carers work.
