Rivendell Care and Support is a home care agency that provides expert care, guidance, and support within the comfort of your own home.
As a specialist care agency in North West London, we are able to assist with providing support until the very
End, making sure our clients are as comfortable as possible.
Our care team and support workers are specialists
Rivendell’s team of personal care assistants and support workers are trained in-house and have been handpicked because of their personality, experience and desire to care for people. We are able to care for the client’s range of needs – we are committed to ensuring the wellbeing of all our clients and peace of mind for their families in these most difficult of moments. Care visits can range from one hour of support to full-time live-in care.
Our aim is to deliver support for those at the end of their lives. We aim to make our clients as comfortable as they can be, by taking care of the less important stuff – such as paperwork and housekeeping – in order for as little stress as possible to make its way to them.
Rivendell Care also provides support for friends and family caring for loved ones at the end of their journey. We understand that everyone is an individual with different needs, and we recognise that our service users have varying levels of requirements. To identify the levels of care necessary we make sure our home visits are comprehensive and our home assessments are carried out with due diligence.
Our care plans are expertly crafted
When creating the care plan we encourage input from family members, friends and medical professionals. Our tailor-made assessment allows us to look at a person as an individual to plan the care around their lifestyle, dietary requirements, preferences, religious and cultural beliefs and more. The assessors are able to provide as little or as much input for the care as required.
5 priorities for end of life care
Experts have agreed that there are 5 important priorities for the care and support that you and your carers can expect to receive in the last few days and hours of life. You can be sure that Rivendell will take every precaution to ensure these for you, at the very least.
- You should be seen by a doctor regularly and if they believe you will die very soon, they must explain this to you and the people close to you.
- The staff involved in your care should talk sensitively and honestly to you and the people close to you.
- You and the people close to you should be involved in decisions about how you are treated and cared for, if this is what you want.
- The needs of your family and other people close to you should be met as far as possible.
- An individual plan of care should be agreed with you and delivered with compassion.
To ensure our care packages are in line with governance, Rivendell is accredited by the Care Quality Commission. The CQC inspects and reviews all care services in England. To meet such high standards, we have a rigorous recruitment procedure that ensures only first-class care is delivered. To meet these standards all staff are vetted and are chosen because they have a passion to work in the care industry.
Our support workers are able to provide:
- Personal Care
- Domestic activities
